When
cities bid to host the Olympics they host the Paralympics too (para from the
Latin that means "along side"). That means they must make their city
accessible for disabled people. London and previous host cities were improved and became more accessible for all as a result.
As
the limelight shines on the Paralympic heroes in London, it is a great time to
contemplate the way we respond to disability in the workplace. We can also think
about inclusiveness and the value difference and diversity adds for us all.
